Abstract

Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan model Snowball Throwing untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA tentang Benda dan Kegunaannya di kelas III SDN Singajaya 06 yang dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dari September-November 2010. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah melalui penggunaan model Snowball Throwing yang tidak diarahkan untuk menguji hipotesis tetapi untuk menggambarkan variabel atau hasil belajar IPA tentang Benda dan Kegunaannya di kelas III dengan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan melihat hasil proses belajar�mengajar dari satu siklus ke siklus lainnya menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar IPA melalui penggunaan model Snowball Throwing, diperoleh hasil 66,65% pada Siklus I dan 85,2% pada Siklus II. Sedangkan aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran menggunakan Snowball Throwing memperoleh hasil 66% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 87% pada siklus II. Dari hasil pembelajaran ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Snowball Throwing dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA tentang Benda dan Kegunaannya. The aim of the research in generally is to know how the usage of Snowball Throwing to improve learning outcomes of Science about Object and Its Use in the 3rd grade of SDN Singajaya 06 which is implemented in 3 months, from September-November 2010. Research methods which is used Snowball Throwing model which is not led to test the hypothesis, but to describe the variable or the learning outcomes of Science about Object and Its Use in the 3rd grade through Classroom Action Research (CAR) of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model. Based on the data analysis result of teaching-learning process from one cycle to another shows increasing learning outcomes of Science through Snowball Throwing model, and gets 66,65% in cycle I and 85,2% in cycle II. Furthermore, student and teacher activity by using Snowball Throwing model gets 66% in cycle I and raise to 87% in cycle II. From the results of the study shows that the usage of Snowball Throwing model can be used to increase learning outcomes of Science about Object and Its Use.
