Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh penilaian estetika surface textile design dengan pasta puff secara non – industrial berdasarkan aspek wujud atau rupa, aspek bobot atau isi, dan aspek penampilan atau penyajian. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitaif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental design, one shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 produk surface textile design dengan pasta puff yang diterapkan pada tunik yang dinilai oleh 5 panelis ahli dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner/ angket. Penilaian diukur menggunakan skala rating scale. Penilaian estetika dengan surface textile design secara non – industrial yang diterapkan pada tunik telah memenuhi kriteria penilaian estetika berdasarkan aspek wujud/rupa, bobot, dan penyajian. Aspek bobot atau isi menjadi penilaian estetika dengan nilai tertinggi dalam penelitian ini, dikarenakan ide pembuatan pasta puff sangat baik diterapkan sebagai motif hiasan busana dalam upaya memberikan daya tarik estetik dan tampilan baru pada busana. Aspek wujud atau rupa mendapat nilai terendah dalam penelitian ini, hal tersebut karena penerapan kombinasi warna masih terlihat mentah sehingga dapat dikembangkan kembali. Kata Kunci: Penilaian estetika, Surface textile design, Pasta Puff **** The purpose of this research is to obtain an aesthetic assessment of surface textile design with puff paste in a non - industrial based on aspects of appearance, aspects of content, and aspects of presentation. This research method uses quantitative descriptive with a pre-experimental design, one shot case study. This research produced 5 surface textile design products with puff paste applied to tunics which were assessed by 5 expert panelists with data collection techniques using questionnaire instruments. Assessment is measured using a rating scale. Aesthetic assessment of surface textile design with puff paste in a non – industrial applied to tunics has met the criteria for aesthetic assessment based on aspects of appearance, content, and presentation. The content aspect is the aesthetic assessment with the highest value in this study because the idea of making puff paste is very well applied as a fashion decoration motif to give aesthetic appeal and a new look to clothing. The aspect of appearance got the lowest score in this study, this is because the application of color combinations still looks raw so that they can be redeveloped.
