Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendapat panelis ahli tentang penerapan natural dye ecoprint pada busana anak yang ditinjau dari tiga sub fokus yaitu teori syarat busana anak, unsur dan prinsip desain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan hasil data berupa deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara terbuka pada lima panelis ahli. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan sub fokus syarat busana anak, indikator model dan bahan dinilai sudah sesuai karena model tidak membatasi aktivitas anak dan bahan mudah menyerap keringat. Sub fokus unsur desain, indikator intensitas warna dinilai kurang baik karena kusam, kombinasi warna dinilai sudah baik karena gradasi warna sudah sesuai, dan bentuk dinilai kurang baik karena kontras antara motif dengan latar kurang terlihat. Sub fokus prinsip desain, indikator harmoni dinilai sudah baik karena gradasi warnanya yang bagus, dan proporsi dinilai sudah cukup sesuai karena penempatan motifnya sudah terlihat. Diantara kelima busana anak yang sudah menerapkan natural dye ecoprint, busana anak yang terbaik terpilih busana anak 2, karena intensitas warnanya cerah, bentuk yang jelas dan proporsi yang baik. sedangkan busana anak 5 menjadi yang terburuk karena intensitas warna yang kusam, bentuk yang kurang terlihat dan proporsi motif yang belum terlihat jelas. ***** This study aims to determine the opinion of expert panelists regarding the application of natural dye ecoprint in children's clothing in terms of three sub-focuses, namely the theory of children's clothing requirements, elements and design principles. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive data. The process of collecting data was carried out through open interviews with five expert panelists. According to the results of a study, the model does not restrict children's activities and the material readily absorbs sweat, making the sub-focus on children's clothing requirements, model indications, and materials appropriate. The color combination is considered acceptable because the color gradation is good, the color indicator of intensity is considered bad because it is dull, and the form is considered bad because the contrast between the motif and the background is less obvious. The harmony indicator, which is a sub-focus of design principles, is thought to be acceptable since the color gradation is good, and the proportions are thought to be pretty suitable because the positioning of the motifs is already obvious. The finest kids' clothes, out of the five that used natural dye ecoprint, was picked for children’s clothing number 2 due to its vivid color intensity, clear shape, and good proportions. The worst category is children's clothes number five because of the poor color intensity, the obscured form, and the proportion of designs that are still barely visible.
