Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai estetika surface design dengan teknik suminagashi pada tekstil rayon. Metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain pre-experimental, model one-shot case study, dan experimen membuat 5 produk berupa panel tekstil suminagashi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 5 panelis ahli untuk menilai, dengan variabel tunggal yaitu penilaian estetika surface design dengan teknik suminagashi pada tekstil rayon, serta indikator berupa unsur desain dan prinsip desain. Penilaian diukur dengan rating scale. Indikator unsur desain mendapatkan nilai 3.49 dengan kategori sangat bagus dan presentase 87.25%. Indikator unsur desain berdasarkan sub-indikator garis, arah, bentuk, tekstur, warna dan nilai gelap terang (value). Sementara indikator prinsip desain mendapatkan nilai 3.53 dengan kategori sangat bagus dan presentase 88.33%. Indikator prinsip desain berdasarkan sub-indikator prinsip desain harmoni, proporsi dan irama. Hasil keseluruhan akhir yaitu sebesar 3.51 dengan kategori sangat bagus dan presentase 87.55%. ***** This study was conducted to assess the aesthetic of surface design with suminagashi technique on rayon textile. Research method using quantitative descriptive with pre-experimental design, one-shot case study model, and experimented creating 5 textile panel products using suminagashi technique on rayon. Data collecting technique using questionnaire which given to 5 experts to assess, with single variable namely aesthetic assessment of surface design with suminagashi technique on rayon textile, as well as indicators including elements and principles of design. The assessment is measured with rating scale. Design elements indicator scored 3.49 which categorized as very good with percentage of 87.25%. Design element indicator is based on sub-indicators which are line, direction, shape, texture, color and value. Design principles indicator scored 3.53 which categorized as very good with percentage of 88.33%. Design principles indicator is based on sub-indicators which are harmony, proportion and ryhthm. The final result scored 3.51 which categorized as very good with percentage of 87.55%.
