Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa/siswi kelas XII SMA/SMK/MA Negeri se Kecematan Cempaka Putih tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Peneliti menggunakan Person-Obyek Theory of Interest (POI) sebagai teori dasar penelitian ini. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu minat melanjutkan studi ke peguruan tinggi sebagai variabel endogen, lingkungan teman sebaya dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua sebagai variabel eksogen, dan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel intervening. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dengan teknik analisis data Anlisis Jalur (Path Analysis). Jumlah sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 268 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan teman sebaya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi, status sosial ekonomi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi, motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi, lingkungan teman sebaya berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi melalui motivasi belajar secara signifikan, status sosial ekonomi orang tua memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi melalui motivasi belajar secara signifikan. Kata Kunci : Minat Melanjutkan Studi ke Perguruan Tinggi, Lingkungan Teman Sebaya, Status Sosial Ekonomi, Motivasi Belajar, Person-Obyek Theory of Interest (POI) *** This study aims to determine the factors that influence interest in continuing their studies to higher education in class XII at Public SMA/SMK/MA in Cempaka Putih District for the 2021/2022 academic year. The researcher uses the Person-Object Theory of Interest (POI) as the basic theory of this research. The variables used are interest in continuing their studies to college as the endogen variable, peer environment and parents' socioeconomic status as eksogen variables, and learning motivation as an intervening variable. This research method is quantitative with data analysis technique Path Analysis (Path Analysis). The number of samples used amounted to 268 respondents. The results showed that the peer environment had a positive and negative effect on the interest in continuing their studies to college, socio-economic status had a negative and significant effect on the interest in continuing their studies to college, learning motivation had a positive and significant effect on the interest in continuing their studies to college, the environment of friends peer has an indirect effect on the interest in continuing their studies to higher education through significant learning motivation, the socioeconomic status of parents has an indirect effect on the interest in continuing their studies to higher education through significant learning motivation.
