Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis modal intelektual, orientasi kewirausahaan dan keunggulan kompetitif dengan kinerja UKM. Penelitian juga ditujukan untuk menyelidiki efek mediasi orientasi kewirausahaan dan keunggulan kompetitif pada pengaruh modal intelektual terhadap kinerja UKM. Pengujian menggunakan PLS-SEM berdasarkan data empiris dengan sampel sebanyak dua ratus tujuh responden sebagai pemilik UKM sektor manufaktur . Responden diperoleh melalui purposive sampling dimana penentuan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan model penelitian memenuhi evaluasi sebagai model yang baik. Secara keseluruhan uji kesesuaian model temuan mempunyai tingkat goodness of fit yang baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal intelektual tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja UKM. Orientasi kewirausahaan dan keunggulan kompetitif secara langsung mempengaruhi kinerja dan menjadi mediasi pengaruh tidak langsung modal intelektual terhadap kinerja. Orientasi kewirausahaan berpengaruh langsung terhadap keunggulan kompetitif. Hasil ini mengidentifikasikan bahwa orientasi kewirausahaan menjadi faktor utama dan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja. Penelitian ini menawarkan pengetahuan lebih luas dalam meningkatkan kinerja UKM. Penelitian mengkonfirmasi bahwa teori berbasis sumber daya dan teori pertumbuhan menjadi landasan pelaku UKM dalam meningkatkan kinerja. Kebaruan dalam penelitian adalah (1) Modal intelektual tidak mempengaruhi langsung terhadap kinerja UKM; (2) pendekatan penelitian menggunakan Resorces Based Value Theory dan The Theory of the Growth of the Firm; (3) Orientasi kewirausahaan menjadi pembentuk utama dalam meningkatkan kinerja. ********** The research aims to analyze intellectual capital, entrepreneurial orientation and competitive advantage with the performance of SMEs. Research is also aimed at investigating the mediating effect of entrepreneurial orientation and competitive advantage on the effect of intellectual capital on SME performance. The test uses PLS-SEM based on empirical data with a sample of two hundred and seven respondents as owners of SMEs in the manufacturing sector. Respondents were obtained through purposive sampling where the determination of the sample was based on certain considerations. The results of the analysis show that the research model meets the evaluation as a good model. Overall the suitability test of the findings model has a good level of goodness of fit. The results of the study show that intellectual capital has no direct effect on the performance of SMEs. Entrepreneurial orientation and competitive advantage directly affect performance and mediate the indirect effect of intellectual capital on performance. Entrepreneurial orientation has a direct effect on competitive advantage. These results identify that entrepreneurial orientation is the main and important factor in improving performance. This research offers broader knowledge in improving the performance of SMEs. Research confirms that resource-based theory and growth theory are the basis for SMEs in improving performance. The novelties in the research are (1) Intellectual capital does not directly affect the performance of SMEs; (2) the research approach uses the Resorts Based Value Theory and The Theory of the Growth of the Firm; (3) Entrepreneurial orientation becomes the main shaper in improving performance.
