Abstract

Skripsi ini memaparkan tentang peranan perusahaan rekaman Lokananta dalam menyebarluaskan kebudayaan nasional pada tahun 1956-1997. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelusuri tentang: (1) peran perusahaan rekaman Lokananta dalam menyebarluaskan kebudayaan nasional pada era piringan hitam (1956-1971); dan (2) peran perusahaan rekaman Lokananta dalam menyebarluaskan kebudayaan nasional pada era pita kaset (1971-1997). Penelitian ini ditulis menggunakan lima tahapan dalam metode penelitian sejarah, yakni pemilihan topik, heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pada masa piringan hitam dalam menyebarluaskan kebudayaan nasional, Lokananta berperan dalam menggandakan lagu daerah dan merekam lagu-lagu pemenang Bintang Radio Pilihan bersama Radio Republik Indonesia, serta turut merekam musik nasional dan musik daerah; (2) pada era pita kaset, Lokananta telah mencapai kemajuan-kemajuan yang cukup berarti dalam menyebarluaskan kebudayaan nasional, khususnya musik dan teater Jawa (Surakarta) melalui rekaman kaset. Kata kunci: Perusahaan Rekaman, Lokananta, Kebudayaan Nasional. This thesis explained the role of the Lokananta record company in disseminating national culture in 1956-1997. The aims of this study are to explore: (1) the role of Lokananta's recordings in spreading the company's national culture during the gramophone era (1956-1971); and (2) the role of the Lokananta record company in spreading national culture in the cassette tape era (1971-1997). This study was written using five stages in the historical research method, namely topic selection, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study indicate that: (1) during the LP period in spreading national culture, Lokananta played a role in duplicating folk songs and recording the winning songs of Bintang Radio Choice with Radio Republik Indonesia, as well as participating in recording national music and regional music; (2) during the era of cassette tapes, Lokananta had made significant progress in disseminating national culture, especially Javanese (Surakarta) music and theater through cassette recordings.
