Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan Higher-Order Thinking Skills peserta didik menggunakan model Discovery Learning dalan tingkatan SMA pada pembelajaran Ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta dan SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 2 pada SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta dan kelas XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 4 pada SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta sekolah, dimana kelas XI IPS 1 pada SMA Negeri 59 dan SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta digunakan sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas XI IPS 2 dan XI IPS 4 pada SMA Negeri 59 dan SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest dan posttest Higher-Order Thinking Skills. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil analisis statistik parametrik dilakukan yaitu dengan teknik analisis data Uji-T Satu Pihak (One-Tailed) Pihak Kanan dengan Independent Sample T-Test. Untuk nilai N-Gain skor data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, maka dilakukan Uji-T Satu Pihak (One-Tailed) Pihak Kanan dengan Independent Sample T-Test N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) HOTS peserta didik antara kelas yang mempergunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning (kelas eksperimen) lebih tinggi dibanding HOTS peserta didik yang mempergunakan model pembelajaran kovensional (kelas kontrol). Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis dengan Uji T One-Tailed (Pihak Kanan) nilai t_hitung > t_tabel yaitu 4.265 > 1.656 dan Sig.(1- tailed) sebesar 0.000. Karena 0.000 < 0,05 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. (2) Peningkatan HOTS peserta didik antara kelas yang mempergunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning (kelas eksperimen) lebih tinggi dibanding HOTS peserta didik yang mempergunakan model pembelajaran kovensional (kelas kontrol). Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis dengan Uji T One-Tailed (Pihak Kanan) diperoleh Sig.(1- tailed) sebesar 0.0125. Karena 0.0125 < 0,05 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Kata Kunci: Model Discovery Learning, Model Pembelajaran Konvensional, Higher-Order Thinking Skills. *** This study aims to improve the Higher-Order Thinking Skills of students using the Discovery Learning model at the high school level in economic learning. The method used in this study is Quasi-experimental with Pretest-Posttest Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study is all students of SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta and SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta. Samples of this study were students of Class XI Social 1 and XI Social 2 at SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta and Class XI Social 1 and XI Social 4 at SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta, where Class XI Social 1 at SMA Negeri 59 and SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta used as a control class using conventional learning models and Class XI IPS 2 and XI IPS 4 at SMA Negeri 59 and SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta as experimental classes using Discovery Learning models. The research instruments used were pretest and posttest of Higher-Order Thinking Skills. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of parametric statistical analysis is done by the technique of data analysis One-Tailed T Test (Right Side) with Independent Sample T-Test. For the value of N-Gain score data is normally distributed and homogeneous, then the One-Tailed T Test (Right Side) with an Independent Sample T-Test N-Gain. The results showed that (1) The HOTS of students between classes that used the Discovery Learning model (experimental class) was higher than the HOTS of students who used the conventional learning model (control class). This is evidenced by the results of hypothesis testing with One-Tailed T Test (Right Side) t_count > t_tabel value is 4.265 > 1.656 and Sig. (1-tailed) of 0.000. Because 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be stated that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. (2) The increase in students' HOTS between classes that used the Discovery Learning model (experimental class) was higher than the HOTS of students who used the conventional learning model (control class). This is evidenced by the results of hypothesis testing with a One-Tailed T Test (Right Side) obtained by Sig. (1-tailed) amounted to 0.0125.
