Abstract

The research aims to analyze and describe; 1) the teacher's role in developing naturalist intelligence at Yapis Elementary School in Kaimana: 2) the teacher's role in developing naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School; 3) supporting and inhibiting factors for the teacher's role in the development of naturalist intelligence at SD Yapis Kaimana. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study research type. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed according to Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed 1) the teacher's role in the development of naturalist intelligence at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School, namely the teacher's role as an educator who behaves and acts by giving examples of discipline, responsibility, giving punishment and rewards to students through habituation. In addition, the teacher acts as a guide, parent, learning manager, facilitator and motivator. 2) the role of the teacher in developing naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School, namely utilizing the school garden program as learning outside the classroom and potted ornamental plants as learning in the classroom. Overall school garden activities and potted ornamental plants can develop naturalist intelligence in Yapis Kaimana Elementary School effectively. 3) supporting factors in the development of naturalist intelligence at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School, namely the environment, programs, teacher cooperation, support from the principal, students and parents. The inhibiting factor is that some teachers do not understand about naturalist intelligence, the limited ideas of science teachers in developing naturalist intelligence in students. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan; 1) peran guru dalam pemgembangan kecerdasan naturalis pada SD Yapis di Kaimana: 2) peran guru dalam pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis pada pembelajaran IPA di SD Yapis Kaimana; 3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat peran guru dalam pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis di SD Yapis Kaimana. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menurut Miles and Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) peran guru dalam pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis di SD Yapis Kaimana yaitu guru berperan sebagai pendidik yang bersikap dan bertindak memberikan contoh tentang disiplin, tanggung jawab, memberikan hukuman dan penghargaan kepada peserta didik melalui pembiasaan. Selain itu guru berperan sebagai pembimbing, orang tua, pengelola pembelajaran, fasilitator dan motivator. 2) peran guru dalam pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis pada pembelajaran IPA di SD Yapis Kaimana yaitu memanfaatkan program sekolah kebun sekolah sebagai pembelajaran di luar kelas dan tanaman hias dalam pot sebagai pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan kebun sekolah dan tanaman hias dalam pot dapat mengembangkan kecerdasan naturalis di SD Yapis Kaimana dengan efektif. faktor pendukung dalan pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis di SD Yapis Kaimana yaitu lingkungan, program, kerjasama guru, dukungan kepala sekolah, peserta didik dan orang tua. Faktor penghambat sebagian guru belum memahami tentang kecerdasan naturalis, keterbatasan ide guru IPA dalam pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis pada peserta didik.
