Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana keterampilan berpikir sejarah yang dimiliki oleh siswa dan guru serta penerapannya dalam pembelajaran sejarah di kelas X dan XI di SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini karena adanya perubahan jam pelajaran, materi pelajaran, dan juga penerapan konsep merdeka belajar dalam pembelajaran sejarah pada kurikulum merdeka. Konsep keterampilan berpikir sejarah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan konsep Enam keterampilan berpikir sejarah (The Big Six) milik Peter Seixas yakni: signifikansi sejarah, sumber sejarah, sebab akibat, perubahan dan keberlanjutan, perspektif sejarah, dan dimensi etis sejarah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Data yang digunakan sebagai sumber penelitian adalah hasil wawancara, hasil observasi, serta hasil analisis dokumen perangkat pembelajaran guru dan tugas siswa. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik triangulasi dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Guru memiliki enam keterampilan berpikir sejarah Peter Seixas yakni: signifikansi sejarah, sumber sejarah, sebab akibat, perubahan dan keberlanjutan, perspektif sejarah, dan dimensi etis sejarah (2) Siswa memiliki empat keterampilan berpikir sejarah Peter Seixas yakni: signifikansi sejarah, sumber sejarah, sebab akibat, dan dimensi etis sejarah (3) Pembelajaran sejarah di SMA 42 Jakarta sudah menerapkan enam keterampilan berpikir sejarah milik Peter Seixas. The background of this research is due to changes in lesson hours, subject matter, and the application of the concept of independent learning in learning history in the independent curriculum. The historical thinking skills used in this study use Peter Seixas' Six historical thinking skills (The Big Six): historical significance, historical sources, cause and effect, change and continuity, historical perspective, and ethical dimensions.The method used in this research is the qualitative method. The data used as research sources are the interviews, observation results, and document analysis of teacher learning tools and student assignments. The data obtained were then analyzed using triangulation techniques and data interpretation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The teacher has Peter Seixas' six historical thinking skills, namely: historical significance, historical sources, cause and effect, change and continuity, historical perspective, and the ethical dimension of history (2) Students have four historical thinking skills Peter Seixas, namely: historical significance, historical sources, causes and effects, and historical ethical dimensions (3) The History Learning at SMA 42 Jakarta has applied Peter Seixas' six historical thinking skills.
