Abstract
***** This development research is motivated by efforts to strengthen the competence of prospective education graduates in vocational education institutions in understanding the basic concepts and implementation of school-based management by using animated video learning media. Animated videos serve to present basic illustrations of managerial activities in vocational education institutions. The method used in this research is Research and development (R&D) by adapting the 4D model (4D-Models) which consists of four stages, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The research began with problem analysis, material analysis, animation video design, animation video production, product validation by 3 material experts and 2 media experts, user assessment survey consisting of 15 students, and dissemination of animated video media. Based on the results of the validation of animated video media by material experts, an average percentage score of 91,11% was obtained in the very feasible category, the results of the validation of animated video media by media experts obtained an average percentage score of 84% in the very feasible category, and the results of the user assessment survey obtained an average percentage score of 89.90% in the very good category. So it can be concluded that animated video media is very feasible to use in strengthening the basic competencies of understanding the basic concepts and implementation of school-based management in vocational education institutions.
