Abstract
Multikulturalisme sebagai dasar siswa pada aspek kesalingan kepada sesamanya dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Indonesia seringkali dilanda konflik dan kekerasan antarmasyarakat yang dapat menyebabkan perpecahan, baik itu konflik etnis maupun konflik antarpemeluk agama. Keragaman yang ada sering mengakibatkan diskriminasi yang berujung pada konflik dan kekerasan. Pentingnya aspek multikulturalisme melihat kondisi masyarakat Indonesia yang beragam menuntut sikap saling toleransi, menghormati dan menghargai berbagai perbedaan tersebut. Hasil pengamatan peneliti menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman multikulturalisme di masyarakat termasuk di sekolah masih belum cukup. Hal tersebut disebabkan antara lain keterbatasan jam pelajaran di sekolah. Kendala tersebut seharusnya tidak terjadi mengingat banyak mata pelajaran yang dapat disisipi muatan multikulturalisme, salah satunya adalah mata pelajaran sejarah. Thesis ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan dan menunjukkan peran guru untuk menerapkan multikulturalisme pembelajaran sejarah dapat dilakukan melalui perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dirancang oleh guru serta mengamati kegiatan siswa di luar jam mata pelajaran sejarah. Guru harus memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa mengenai pentingnya pemahaman multikultural. Hal demikian bisa dikolerasikan dengan desain yang sudah dirancang oleh guru. Artinya guru dalam membuat perangkat pembelajaran sejarah harus menerapkan aspek multikulturalisme dari mulai RPP modul ajar sampai aspek penilaian terhadap siswa. Sementara untuk kegiatan siswa di luar pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dan diamati melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang diikuti oleh siswa. Multiculturalism as a basis for students on the aspect of mutuality with each other with the aim of providing understanding and its application in learning history. Indonesia is often hit by inter-community conflicts and violence that can lead to divisions, both ethnic conflicts and conflicts between religious adherents. Existing diversity often results in discrimination that leads to conflict and violence. The importance of the aspect of multiculturalism in view of the diverse conditions of Indonesian society demands mutual tolerance, respect and respect for these various differences. The results of the researchers' observations show that the understanding of multiculturalism in society, including in schools, is still not enough. This is due, among other things, to the limitations of school hours. This obstacle should not have happened considering that there are many subjects that can be inserted with multiculturalism content, one of which is history. This uses a research use study approach. The results of the literature review show that the teacher's role in implementing multiculturalism in learning history can be done through learning tools that have been designed by the teacher and observing student activities outside of history class hours. Teachers must provide students with an understanding of the importance of multicultural understanding. This can be correlated with the design that has been designed by the teacher. This means that teachers in making historical learning tools must apply aspects of multiculturalism from starting lesson plans to aspects of student assessment. Meanwhile for student activities outside of learning can be carried out and observed through extracurricular activities that are attended by students.
