Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan demokratis pada PT Topindo Atlas Asia yang meliputi proses pelimpahan wewenang, pengambilan keputusan, serta penyelesaian masalah yang dilakukan pimpinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik penentuan informan menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu dengan sejumlah 4 orang karyawan. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini meliputi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pimpinan PT Topindo Atlas Asia telah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis yaitu dengan melibatkan karyawannya dalam setiap pengambilan keputusan serta penyelesaian masalah yang ada. Namun, dalam proses pelimpahan wewenang pimpinan masih belum diimplementasikan secara optimal dikarenakan pimpinan ketika memberikan tugas sering kali kurang jelas dalam pengarahan kerja. Kata Kunci: Demokratis, Kepemimpin, Gaya Kepemimpinan *** The purpose of this research is to find out how the democratic leadership style at PT Topindo Atlas Asia which includes the process of delegation of authority, decision making, and problem solving by the leadership. This research uses qualitatitive research methods with a case study approach. The technique of determining informants using purposive sampling, which amounted to 4 employees. This research data collection technique includes observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the leadership of PT Topindo Atlas Asia has implemented a democratic leadership style by involving its employees in every decision making and problem solving. However, in the process of delegating authority, leaders are still not optimally implemented because leaders when giving tasks are often unclear in work direction.
