Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih rendahnya literasi baca-tulis siswa yang tidak bisa dilepaskan dari gaya atau model pembelajaran yang belum beranjak dari gaya konvensional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan literasi baca tulis melalui penggunaan word square dan montase pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas III SDN Jatinegara 02 Jakarta Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen yaitu pretest-posttest control group design dengan dua macam perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan literasi baca tulis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran word square dan pembelajaran montase. Perbedaan ini terlihat pada hasil data posttest pada kedua kelompok dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata posttest untuk kelompok eksperimen sebesar 82,56 untuk kelompok kontrol sebesar 78,16. ***** This research is based on students' low reading and writing literacy which cannot be separated from learning styles or models that have not moved from conventional styles. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in literacy skills through the use of word squares and montage in Indonesian in class III SDN Jatinegara 02 East Jakarta. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with an experimental design, namely pretest-posttest control group design with two kinds of treatment. Based on the research results, the conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that there is a significant difference between the literacy skills of students who are taught using word square learning and montage learning. This difference can be seen in the results of the posttest data in the two groups with the acquisition of an average posttest score for the experimental group of 82.56 for the control group of 78.16.
