Abstract

ABSTRAK Yamin, Nisrina Athirah, 2023. Konstruksi Gender dan Kesenjangan Kelas Sosial dalam Transkrip Drama Korea “Little Women”. Skripsi: Jakarta, Program Studi Sastra Inggis, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelas sosial dan konstruksi gender di Korea Selatan dengan menggunakan konsep Feminis Marxis dari transkrip serial televisi Little Women Korea. Analisis dijalankan dengan menggunakan Teori Struktur Naratif Todorov dengan memasang perspektif feminisme marxist. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya konstruksi gender dan kesenjangan kelas sosial pada transkrip yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh-tokoh yang memanfaatkan kekuasaan dan kekayaan untuk memanfaatkan orang-orang sekitar serta tokoh utama yang mengalami masalah yang mengharuskannya menghadap petinggi yang bersangkutan. Tokoh utama tersebut mendapatkan perlakuan yang buruk dikarenakan kondisi ekonomi yang lemah. Kata kunci: Little Women, Feminis Marxis, Konstruksi Gender, Kelas Sosial  ***** ABSTRACT Yamin. A Thesis: Jakarta, English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The purpose of this research is to examine social class and gender construction in South Korea utilizing the Marxist Feminist concept as found in the transcript of the television series Little Women Korea. By incorporating a Marxist feminist perspective, the analysis is done out using Todorov's Narrative Structure Theory. The analysis results show that there are gender constructions and social class gaps in the transcripts shown by characters who use power and wealth to take advantage of those around them, as well as the main character who encounters problems that force him to confront the officials involved. Because to the poor economic conditions, the main character is mistreated. Keywords: Little Women, Marxist Feminism, Gender Construction, Social Class
