Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi informasi terkait keragaman budaya dalam sebuah hasil budaya daerah yaitu tari topeng Betawi. Dalam sejarah dan asal-usulnya tari topeng Betawi merupakan tari yang mengambil pola gerak dari tari topeng Cirebon, ciri busana dan properti pendukungnya pun mendapat pengaruh dari unsur budaya lain seperti penggunaan warna cerah pada warna kostumnya, topeng tradisional Kraton Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan practice based research. Selanjutnya metodologi penelitian dilakukan secara observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Tahap awal dilakukan riset tentang multilultural tari topeng Betawi, melakukan studi tren produk sejenis, melakukan analisis terhadap ilustrasi dan teks pada poster yang relevan. Urgensi penelitian ini menitikberatkan kepada keragaman pada tari topeng Betawi yang di visualisaikan dalam poster layanan masyarakat tentang multikultural tari topeng Betawi. Perancangan poster layanan masyarakat ini dapat menjadi peluang untuk memperkenalkan simbol keragaman budaya pada tari topeng Betawi secara lebih luas kepada masyarakat terutama pada remaja usia 15-18 tahun. Poster multikultural tari topeng Betawi dengan ilustrasi yang disajikan dapat memberikan pengalaman yang lebih menyenangkan dan menarik minat remaja untuk menyampaikan pesan agar mudah untuk dipahami. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan masyarakat mengetahui keragaman budaya pada tari topeng Betawi dan dapat menyadarkan masyarakat akan pentingnya rasa toleransi dan menghargai sesama budaya daerah. ********* This research aims to provide information regarding cultural diversity in a regional cultural product, namely the Betawi mask dance. In its history and origins, Betawi mask dance is a dance that takes movement patterns from Cirebon mask dance, the characteristics of the clothing and supporting props are also influenced by other cultural elements such as the use of bright colors in the colors of the costumes, the traditional masks of the Cirebon Palace. This research uses qualitative methods with a practice based research approach. Furthermore, the research methodology was carried out using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. In the initial stage, research was carried out on multicultural Betawi mask dance, conducting trend studies on similar products, analyzing illustrations and text on relevant posters. The urgency of this research focuses on the diversity of Betawi mask dance which is visualized in public service posters about multicultural Betawi mask dance. Designing this public service poster could be an opportunity to introduce symbols of cultural diversity in Betawi mask dance more widely to the community, especially to teenagers aged 15-18 years. Multicultural Betawi mask dance posters with illustrations presented can provide a more enjoyable experience and attract teenagers' interest in conveying messages that are easy to understand. Through this research, it is hoped that the public will know the cultural diversity of Betawi mask dance and can make the public aware of the importance of tolerance and respect for fellow regional cultures.
