Abstract

ABSTRAK Universitas Pakuan Bogor merupakan salah satu penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi swasta terbesar di kota Bogor dengan jumlah mahasiswa terbanyak dikalangan perguruan tinggi swasta lainnya yang berada di wilayah Bogor. Untuk mewujudkan visi, misi dan tujuan Universitas Pakuan, dosen merupakan omponen terpenting dalam suatu sistem pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Namun berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdahulu serta rencana strategis Universitas Pakuan, komitmen dosen di Universitas Pakuan dalam melaksanakan tri dharma perguruan tinggi masih rendah. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan komitmen dosen melalui analisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan kualitas kehidupan kerja serta menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kualitas kehidupan kerja dosen di Universitas Pakuan Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 445 Dosen dan sampel sebanyak 211 responden dengan penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan rumus slovin. Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Pakuan, Bogor. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar kepada tiap responden dan selanjutnya diolah data menggunakan bantuan Microsoft Excel dan software IBM AMOS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap komitmen dosen; 2) Kualitas kehidupan kerja berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap komitmen dosen; 3) Kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kualitas kehidupan kerja dosen. Penelitian ini dapat menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dan kualitas hidup kerja yang baik dapat meningkatkan komitmen dosen terhadap organisasinya. ********** ABSTRACT Pakuan University, Bogor is one of the largest private tertiary education providers in the city of Bogor with the largest number of students among other private tertiary institutions in the Bogor area. To realize the vision, mission and goals of Pakuan University, lecturers are the most important component of an education system in higher education. However, based on the results of previous research and the strategic plan of Pakuan University, the commitment of lecturers at Pakuan University in implementing the tri dharma of higher education is still low. Therefore, this study aims to increase lecturer commitment through analyzing the influence of transformational leadership and the quality of work life and analyzing the effect of transformational leadership on the quality of work life of lecturers at Pakuan University, Bogor. This study uses a quantitative approach model using data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), with a total population of 445 lecturers and a sample of 211 respondents with the determination of the number of samples using the slovin formula. The research was conducted at Pakuan University, Bogor. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire which was distributed to each respondent and then the data was processed using Microsoft Excel and IBM AMOS 26 software. The results of the study show that: 1) transformational leadership has a direct positive effect on lecturer commitment; 2) The quality of work life has a positive direct effect on lecturer commitment; 3) Transformational leadership has a direct positive effect on the quality of the lecturer's work life. This research can show that the application of transformational leadership and good quality of work life can increase lecturer commitment to their organization.
