Abstract

Peran sutradara dalam produksi video memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk keseluruhan narasi dan estetika visual dari produk akhir. Laporan ini membahas tentang tanggung jawab sutradara. Tujuan pada karya nyata ini adalah mengetahuai peran sutradara dalam pembuatan Video Profil (English Version) Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta 2024. Dalam laporan ini menggunakan tinjauan teoritis seperti peran, sutradara dan video profil. Dalam teori-teori tersebut terdapat 9 konsep, diantaranya; peran, pengertian sutradara, peran sutradara, dan tugas sutradara. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) menugaskan pembuatan video profil untuk menampilkan program akademik, fasilitas, dan fakultasnya dan sebagai media promosi untuk skala nasional dan internasional. Sutradara memainkan peran penting dalam proyek ini, mengawasi seluruh proses produksi dari praproduksi hingga pascaproduksi. Laporan ini menggunakan deskripsi pekerjaan dengan penjelasan seperti tinjauan pekerjaan dan posisi dalam instansi. Kemudian dijelaskan kegiatan selama proyek Video Profil (English Version) Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta 2024. Penulis menyimpulkan dengan pengakuan peran sutradara sebagai bagian integral dari proses produksi video, yang menekankan kepemimpinan, kreativitas, dan keahlian teknis mereka. Tesis ini menggarisbawahi kemampuan sutradara untuk mengubah ide belaka menjadi pengalaman visual yang menawan dan beresonansi dengan penonton. ********** The director's role in video production plays an important role in shaping the overall narrative and visual aesthetics of the final product. This report discusses the director's responsibilities. The aim of this real work is to find out the role of the director in making a video profile for the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University English Version 2024. This report uses theoretical reviews such as roles, directors and video profiles. In these theories there are 9 concepts, including; role, definition of director, director's role, and director's duties. The Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University (UNJ) commissioned the creation of a video profile to showcase its academic programs, facilities and faculties and as promotional media on a national and international scale. The director plays a critical role in this project, overseeing the entire production process from pre-production to post-production. This report uses job descriptions with explanations such as job overview and position in the agency. Then the activities during the 2024 English Version of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University English Version profile video project are explained. The authors conclude by recognizing the director's role as an integral part of the video production process, emphasizing their leadership, creativity, and technical expertise. This thesis underscores the director's ability to transform a mere idea into a captivating visual experience that resonates with the audience.
