Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran guru dalam mencegah tindak kekerasan verbal di SD XYZ. Lokasi penelitian di kota Depok, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran guru dalam mencegah tindak kekerasan verbal di SD XYZ. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif partisipasi dan peneli menarik jarak dari subjektifitas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Data primer didapat dari hasil wawancara dengan guru SD XYZ. Hasil wawancara selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teori dari Role Theory oleh Bruce J. Cohen. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai dari bulan September 2023 sampai dengan bulan Juni 2024. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran guru dalam mencegah kekerasan verbal di SD XYZ sebagai berikut. Guru sebagai pendidik, melakukan sosialiasi mengenai pemahaman kekerasan dan nilai-nilai moralitas, serta perkembangan diri anak. Guru sebagai pengawas, bertindak sebagai pengawas untuk mencegah penyimpangan di sekolah. Guru sebagai sumber belajar, memiliki adab yang baik sehingga tercipta hubungan yang positif antara guru, siswa, dan orang tua agar proses pembelajaran tetap kondusif dan terkendali. Guru sebagai fasilitator, melaksanakan program Daily Hikmah dengan tujuan membentuk generasi Qur’ani yang diinginkan oleh SD XYZ, pemasangan CCTV sekolah, serta pemasangan kutipan motivasi dengan tema anti kekerasan. Guru sebagai pengelola, mewujudkan proses pembelajaran positif sehingga dapat mengembangkan sumber daya manusia yang unggul dan berguna bagi masyarakat. Selain itu, terdapat faktor lingkungan sekolah yang baik sehingga mendukung keberhasilan pencegahan kekerasan verbal di SD XYZ serta terdapat faktor penghambat yaitu peraturan yang sangat mengikat bagi warga sekolah serta pengaruh buruk lingkungan dari luar sekolah yang berdampak pada proses pencegahan kekersan verbal di SD XYZ. ***** This study discusses the role of teachers in preventing verbal violence at XYZ Elementary School. The research location is in the city of Depok, West Java. This study aims to describe how the role of teachers in preventing verbal violence in XYZ Elementary School. This research uses participatory qualitative methods and the researcher draws a distance from subjectivity. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature study. Primary data was obtained from interviews with SD XYZ teachers. The interview results were then analyzed with the theory of Role Theory by Bruce J. Cohen. This research was conducted from September 2023 to June 2024. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the role of teachers in preventing verbal violence at SD XYZ is as follows. Teachers as educators, socialize about understanding violence and morality values, as well as children's self-development. Teachers as supervisors, act as supervisors to prevent deviations in schools. Teachers as learning resources, have good manners so as to create a positive relationship between teachers, students, and parents so that the learning process remains conducive and controlled. Teachers as facilitators, implementing the Daily Hikmah program with the aim of forming the Qur'anic generation desired by SD XYZ, installing school CCTV, and installing motivational quotes with the theme of anti-violence. Teachers as managers, realize a positive learning process so as to develop superior human resources and be useful for society. In addition, there are good school environmental factors that support the success of preventing verbal violence at SD XYZ and there are inhibiting factors, namely very binding regulations for school residents and the bad influence of the environment from outside the school which has an impact on the process of preventing verbal violence at SD XYZ.
