Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap respon defender bystander bullying pada siswa di SMA Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang mengumpulkan data menggunakan kuesioner berdasarkan adaptasi instrumen ke bahasa Indonesia yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dari instrumen Adolescent Defending Behaviors Questionnaire (ADBQ) dan What’s Happening In This School (WHITS) kepada populasi siswa SMA di Jakarta dengan sampel yang didapatkan melalui teknik sampling purpossive sebanyak 129 siswa kelas 10,11, dan 12 SMA di Jakarta pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang teridentifikasi sebagai pernah melihat bullying dan merespon peristiwa bullying dengan bertindak sebagai defender bystander bullying. Hasil analisis regresi linear menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p-value) <0,001 yang berarti kurang dari α= 0,05 dan koefisien determinasi (R Square) senilai 0,162 (16,2%) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang tergolong kecil antara variabel iklim sekolah terhadap variabel respon defender bystander bullying yang menyebabkan hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. ***** The aim of this research is to determine whether there is an influence of school climate on defender bystander responses to bullying among high school students in Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach, collecting data through questionnaires based on Adolescent Defending Behaviors Questionnaire (ADBQ) and What’s Happening In This School (WHITS) instruments that adapted into Indonesian by the researcher. The population consists of high school students in Jakarta, with a sample of 129 students from grades 10, 11, and 12 during the 2023/2024 academic year, identified through purposive sampling techniques as having witnessed bullying and responded to bullying incidents by acting as defender bystanders. The results of the linear regression analysis showed a significance value (p-value) of < 0.001, which is less than α = 0.05, and a coefficient of determination (R Square) 0.162 (16.2%). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a small influence of the school climate variable on the response defender bystander variable, which leads to the acceptance of this research hypothesis.
