Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses transformasi guru kelas menjadi guru keterampilan di SLB Negeri 3 Jakarta. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah analisis proses transformasi dan implementasi pembelajaran keterampilan, serta dampak dari perubahan ini. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru kelas yang sedang mengalami proses transformasi ini, peserta diidkyang diajar oleh guru tersebut, dan pihak manajemen sekolah yang terlibat dalam program pengembangan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi guru kelas menjadi guru keterampilan memerlukan dukungan yang kuat dari pihak sekolah, pelatihan berkelanjutan, serta adaptasi metode pengajaran yang inovatif. Guru yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan mereka untuk mengajar keterampilan secara efektif. Selain itu, peserta didik yang diajar oleh guru yang telah ditransformasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan praktis dan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa transformasi guru kelas menjadi guru keterampilan dapat berhasil dengan adanya dukungan yang holistik dari lingkungan sekolah dan komitmen yang kuat dari guru untuk terus belajar dan beradaptasi. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini termasuk perlunya pengembangan program pelatihan yang lebih terstruktur untuk guru dan integrasi keterampilan dalam kurikulum secara lebih menyeluruh. ***** This research aims to explore the process of transforming class teacher into skill teacher at SLBN 3 Jakarta. The main focus of this study is to understand how the transformation processes that schools do and how to implement skills learning in schools, as well as the impact of these changes on students' abilities and skills. The research methodology used is qualitative case studies with data collection techniques through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The research subjects consist of the class teacher who is undergoing this transformation process, the student taught by the teacher, and the school management involved in the skills development program. The results show that the transformation of a class teacher into a skill teacher requires strong support from the school, continuous training, and the adaptation of innovative teaching methods. Teachers who participated in this study showed an improvement in their understanding and ability to teach skills effectively. Moreover, students taught by transformed teachers showed significant improvements in practical and critical thinking skills. The study concluded that the transformation of classmates into skill teachers could be successful with the holistic support of the school environment and the strong commitment of teachers to continue learning and adaptation. Recommendations from the study included the need to develop more structured training programmes for teachers and integrate skills into the curriculum more thoroughly.
