Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas V di SDN Kecamatan Pinang Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VC dan VA SDN Kunciran 3, masing-masing berjumlah 25 orang. Kelas VC sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, sementara kelas VA sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Sampling dari populasi yang ditetapkan yaitu SD Negeri di Kelurahan Kunciran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal uraian berjumlah 10 soal yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Instrumen tersebut juga diuji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji N-Gain sebagai uji persyaratan data. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan uji independent sample t-test. Dari hasil analisis tersebut, diketahui bahwa nilai t_(hitung )> t_tabel (3,349 > 1,677). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas V di SDN Kecamatan Pinang Kota Tangerang. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. ***** This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on problem solving abilities in social studies learning for class V students at SDN Pinang District, Tangerang City. This research uses a quantitative research approach. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design. The sample in this study was 25 students in classes VC and VA at SDN Kunciran 3. Class VC as an experimental class uses the Problem Based Learning learning model, while class VA as a control class uses the Direct Instruction learning model. Sampling used the Cluster Sampling technique from a determined population, namely State Elementary Schools in Kunciran Village. Data collection was carried out using a test instrument in the form of 10 descriptive questions whose validity and reliability were tested. The instrument was also tested for normality, homogeneity, and the N-Gain test as a test for data requirements. Next, hypothesis analysis was carried out using the t-test with the independent sample t-test. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the value of t_count> t_table (3,349 > 1,677). This shows that the Problem Based Learning learning model has a significant influence on problem solving abilities in social studies learning for class V students at SDN Pinang District, Tangerang City. Therefore, teachers need to choose the right learning model to improve students' problem solving abilities in social studies learning.
