Abstract

Abstrak Kesulitan dalam belajar tidak hanya karena pengaruh psikologi anak, tapi juga karena pengaruh lingkungan, proses pembelajaran yang kurang menarik, kurangnya metode pembelajaran yang bervariatif dan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan pretest-postest control group design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Data hasil belajar IPA siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis kelas eksperimen diperoleh thitung =12,18 > ttabel 2,00 dengan dk = 28 dan taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Uji hipotesis kelas kontrol diperoleh thitung =6,56 > ttabel 2,00 dengan dk = 27 dan taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan Metode Ekspositori. Karena kedua metode tersebut memiliki pengaruh maka dilihat dari uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui metode yang lebih efektif. Kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai N-Gain 0,59 dan kelas kontrol memiliki nilai N-Gain 0,38, dimana kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer lebih efektif. ********* Abstract Difficulties in learning are not only due to the influence of child psychology, but also due to the influence of the environment, the learning process that is less interesting, the lack of varied and innovative learning methods. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects by applying the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning method. This research design is a pseudo-experimental research with pretest-postest control group design. Data collection used observation, tests, and interviews. Data on students' science learning outcomes were analyzed using the t-test. Based on the experimental class hypothesis test, tcount =12.18> ttable 2.00 was obtained with dk = 28 and a significance level of 5%. Based on the testing criteria, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. The control class hypothesis test obtained tc = 6.56 > ttable 2.00 with dk = 27 and a significance level of 5%. Based on the testing criteria, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in science learning outcomes between groups of students taught using the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning method and groups of students taught using Ekspository learning method. Because both methods have an influence, it is seen from the N-Gain test to determine which method is more effective. The experimental class has an N-Gain value of 0.59 and the control class has an N-Gain value of 0.38, where the experimental class using the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning method is more effective.
