Abstract

Sabrina Ratu Mawaddah, Esty Nurbaity Arrsyi, S.Pd., M.K.M., Sri Listiani, S.Pd., M.Ds. Kualitas Produk Fashion Jaket Denim Upcycle Dengan Manipulation Fabric Slashing. Skripsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Desain Mode, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2025. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian produk terhadap pemanfaatan penumpukan pakaian, khususnya jaket denim second hand yang tidak terpakai, dalam proses pembuatan jaket denim upcucle. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitaif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental design, berbentuk one shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk busana ready-to-wear berupa Jaket denim upcycle yang dihiasi motif bentuk tanaman pakis sebagai tema utama, diaplikasikan melalui teknik manipulasi kain slashing, dan dinilai menggunakan skala penilaian (rating scale). Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket yang terdiri dari 19 butir penyataan dengan skala pengukuran rating scale dan diberikan kepada lima panelis di bidangnya masing-masing. Tahapan penelitian meliputi penumpukan jaket denim second hand, proses pengolahan, serta pembuatan jaket denim upcycle. Penilaian produk jaket denim second hand upcycle dengan manipulasi kain teknik slashing berdasarkan teori Kualitas produk menurut David Garvin dalam Fandy Tjiptono (2016:136), yang mencakup fitur, keandalan, kesesuain, dan estetika. Hasil penilaian menunjukan bahwa kualitas produk secara keseluruhan berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Pada aspek fitur, produk memperoleh skor sebesar 87,4% dengan kategori sangat baik; aspek keandalan mendapatkan nilai 90,75 dengan kategori sangat baik; aspek kesesuaian memperoleh nilai sebesar 92,3% dengan kategori sangat baik; dan aspek estetika mendapatkan nilai 87,14% dengan kategori sangat baik. Produk dengan kategori sangat tinggi didapatkan oleh desain 1 memperoleh nilai sebesar 92,3% dengan kategori sangat baik. sementara itu, desain 4 dan 5 memperoeh nilai terendah, yaitu nilai 87,3% namun tetap berada dalam kategori sangat baik di antara kelima desain yang diuji. Thesis, Jakarta: Bachelor of Applied Fashion Design Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2025. ***** This research aims to obtain a product assessment of the utilization of clothing stacking, especially unused second-hand denim jackets, in the process of making upcucle denim jackets. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative method with pre-experimental research design, in the form of one-shot case study. This research produced five ready-to-wear fashion products in the form of upcycled denim jackets decorated with fern motifs as the main theme, applied through slashing fabric manipulation techniques, and assessed using a rating scale. Data collection procedures were carried out using a questionnaire consisting of 19 statement items with a rating scale measurement scale and given to five panelists in their respective fields. The research stages included the stacking of second-hand denim jackets, processing, and making upcycled denim jackets. Product assessment of second hand upcycle denim jackets with slashing technique fabric manipulation based on the theory of product quality according to David Garvin in Fandy Tjiptono (2016:136), which includes features, reliability, suitability, and aesthetics. The assessment results show that the overall product quality is in the very good category. In the feature aspect, the product scored 87.4% with a very good category; the reliability aspect scored 90.75 with a very good category; the suitability aspect scored 92.3% with a very good category; and the aesthetic aspect scored 87.14% with a very good category. The product with a very high category was obtained by design 1, which obtained a score of 92.3% with an excellent category. Meanwhile, designs 4 and 5 obtained the lowest score, which was 87.3% but still in the excellent category among the five designs tested.
