Abstract

********** This study of research to knowing the physical fitness profile of fourt class, fifth class, and sixth class at Muhammadiyah 24 elementary school East Jakarta. Physical fitness is an important aspec in supporting the physical, behavior, and academic development of elementary school students. However, the development of elementary of a sedentary lifestyle, such as increased screen time and minimal physical activity, can impact students fitness levels. Therefore, mapping physical fitness is necessary as a basis for developing targeted physical education programs The method used was a descriptive quantitative survey. The sample in this study was all 90 fourth, fifth, and sixth class students. The instrument used was the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) for 10-12 year olds, wich includes a 40-meter sprint, a hanging elbow bend, a 30 second sitting position, and 600-meter run. Data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of fitness level categories (excellent, good, moderate, poor, and very poor). The results showed that the majority of students fell into the “sufficient” and “poor” categories, with the highest percentage in the “sufficient categories. There are differences in in fitness profile between class levels, where class VI students tend to have better fitness levels compared to class IV and V. This finding indicates the need to increase the frequency of physical activity at school through a planned PJOK program and healthy lifestyle interventions at home.
