Abstract
Pendidikan jasmani merupakan pelajaran yang memegang peranan penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan motorik dan kesehatan fisik. Pendidikan jasmani sering digambarkan sebagai pelajaran yang membosankan bahkan melelahkan untuk sebagian siswa baik disekolah dasar (SD), SMP, maupun SMA, khususnya di kurikulum SMA sederajat salah satu sub bab materi ajar yaitu pencak silat yang mempelajari jurus tunggal baku tangan kosong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan model pembelajaran peer teaching dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan harapan melalui metode pembelajaran peer teaching siswa akan dapat mengaktualisasikan kemampuan untuk bersikap peduli terhadap diri sendiri maupun terhadap teman-temanya yang kurang mampu dan bertanggung jawab dalam proses belajar, serta menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri agar mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar. Desain penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan komparatif, dibagi dalam dua kelompok berdasarkan random sample yang terdiri dari kelas control (konvensional) dan kelas treatment (peer teaching) dengan pengujian paired sample t test dan independent sample t test. Kesimpulanya penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi acuan terhadap model pembelajaran peer teaching yang dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa menggunakan media audiovisual untuk meningkatkan self control terhadap peserta didik. ***** Physical education is a subject that plays a crucial role in developing motor skills and physical health. Physical education is often described as boring, even tiring, for some students in elementary, middle, and high schools. This is particularly true in the high school curriculum, where one of the sub-chapters of the teaching material is pencak silat, which studies single, standard empty-handed techniques. This study aims to compare the peer teaching model with the conventional learning model. It is hoped that through the peer teaching method, students will actualize their ability to care for themselves and their less fortunate peers, be responsible for their learning, and develop self-confidence, thereby improving their learning outcomes. The research design was quantitative with a comparative approach, divided into two groups based on a random sample: a control class (conventional) and a treatment class (peer teaching). Testing was conducted using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests. In conclusion, this study is expected to serve as a reference for a modified peer teaching model using audiovisual media to improve student self-control.
