Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh work life balance terhadap job satisfaction melalui employee engagement pada karyawan Generasi Z di PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis skala likert. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan Gen Z di lingkungan PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah probability sampling dengan metode random sampling, sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 184 responden. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Square (PLS) menggunakan perangkat lunak SmartPLS versi 4. Teknik analisis yang digunakan meliputi pengujian R-Square dan effect size (f²). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara work life balance terhadap employee engagement, work life balance terhadap job satisfaction, serta employee engagement terhadap job satisfaction. Selain itu, employee engagement terbukti memediasi pengaruh work life balance terhadap job satisfaction pada karyawan Gen Z di PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta. ***** This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction through employee engagement among Generation Z employees at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method through the distribution of Likert-based questionnaires. The population in this study were all Gen Z employees at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with a random sampling method, resulting in a sample size of 184 respondents. Data analysis was performed using the Partial Least Square (PLS)-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method using SmartPLS version 4 software. Analysis techniques used included the R-Square and effect size (f²) tests. The results showed a positive and significant effect between work-life balance on employee engagement, work-life balance on job satisfaction, and employee engagement on job satisfaction. Furthermore, employee engagement was proven to mediate the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction among Gen Z employees at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta.
