Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V di SDN Jatikramat VI melalui penggunaan strategi PORPE (Predict, Organize, Rehearse, Practice, and Evaluate). Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan selama tiga siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi empat proses, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 21 orang anggota kelas VB SDN Jatikramat VI. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes, observasi, dokumentasi, jurnal harian, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan membaca pemahaman melalui strategi PORPE di mana hasil siklus I menunjukkan persentase 38% dengan 8 peserta didik tuntas. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 62% dengan 13 peserta didik tuntas. Meningkat lagi pada siklus III menjadi 81 % dengan 17 peserta didik tuntas. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisis adalah strategi PORPE dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V-B di SDN Jatikramat VI. //***** This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of grade V students at SDN Jatikramat VI through the use of PORPE (Predict, Organize, Rehearse, Practice, and Evaluate) strategy. This research used the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was carried out over three cycles. Each cycle includes four processes, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 21 members of class VB SDN Jatikramat VI. Research data were obtained through tests, observation, documentation, daily journals, and interviews. The results showed that there was an increase in reading comprehension skills through the PORPE strategy where the results of cycle I showed a percentage of 38% with 8 students complete. In cycle II it increased to 62% with 13 students complete. Increased again in cycle III to 81% with 17 students complete. The conclusion from the results of the analysis is that the PORPE strategy in learning Indonesian can improve the reading comprehension skills of class V-B students at SDN Jatikramat VI.
