Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek moderasi yang dimunculkan future-time perspective terhadap pengaruh refleksi kognitif dengan diskonto waktu pada masyarakat miskin perkotaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi moderasi. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang di dalamnya berisi instrumen monetary-choice questionnaire, verbal cognitive reflection test, dan future-time perspective Indonesian scale. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah masyarakat miskin perkotaan yang digambarkan oleh para pekerja sektor informal. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 200 orang. Karakteristik sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pria atau wanita yang berada dalam usia produktif dan memiliki sumber penghasilan utama dari sektor informal dengan pendapatan kurang dari UMP Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat peran future-time perspective dalam memoderasi pengaruh refleksi kognitif terhadap diskonto waktu pada masyarakat miskin perkotaan ***** The study aims to examine the role of future-time perspective in moderating the effect of cognitive reflection on time discounting among the urban poor. This is a quantitative research with a moderated regression analysis method. Data in this study was collected using a questionnaire containing monetary-choice questionnaire, verbal cognitive reflection test, and future-time perspective Indonesian scale. The population in this study is urban poor represented by informal worker. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total of 200 respondents. The characteristics of the sample in this study were men or women who were of productive age and had a main source of income from the informal sector with an income of less than the Jakarta UMP. The result of the study show that there is no role of future-time perspective in moderating the effect of cognitive reflection on time discounting among the urban poor
