Abstract

Intimacy menjadi kebutuhan bagi setiap individu dan menjadi tugas perkembangan yang harus terpenuhi dalam tahap dewasa awal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh otoriter ibu terhadap fear of intimacy pada mahasiswa di Jabodetabek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pengambilan data melalui kuesioner. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 283 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 188 responden perempuan dan 95 responden laki-laki. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat pola asuh otoriter ibu adalah Parental Authority Questionnaire, sedangkan untuk mengukur fear of intimacy menggunakan Fear of Intimacy Scale. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa F (1, 281) = 5,35; p = 0,021 < 0,05. Artinya terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara pola asuh otoriter ibu terhadap fear of intimacy pada mahasiswa di Jabodetabek. Pengaruh yang ditemukan memiliki arah positif yang artinya semakin tinggi pola asuh otoriter ibu maka fear of intimacy juga semakin meningkat. This study aims to investigate the influence of authoritarian parenting styles of mothers on fear of intimacy among university students in the Jabodetabek area. The research method used in this study is quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires. The sample consisted of 283 students, including 188 female respondents and 95 male respondents. The Parental Authority Questionnaire was used to measure the level of authoritarian parenting styles, while the Fear of Intimacy Scale was used to assess fear of intimacy. Hypothesis testing was conducted using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that F (1, 281) = 5.35; P = 0.021 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant influence between authoritarian parenting styles of mothers and fear of intimacy among students in Jabodetabek. The influence found has a positive direction, meaning that the higher the authoritarian parenting style of mothers, the higher the fear of intimacy.
