Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh pola asuh permisif ibu terhadap penyesuaian akademik siswa SMA. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 288 responden. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitaf dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling. Populasi dibagi berdasarkan wilayah administratif DKI Jakarta yaitu Jakarta Pusat, Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta Timur, Jakarta Barat, Jakarta Utara, dan Kepulauan Seribu, yang kemudian dipilih satu sekolah untuk menjadi sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Buri (1991) untuk mengukur pola asuh permisif ibu dan Academic Adjustment Scale (AAS) yang dikembangkan oleh Anderson, Guan, dan Koc (2016) untuk mengukur penysuaian akademik. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana untuk menguji pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh permisif ibu berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penyesuaian akademik siswa SMA kelas X sebesar 3%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi pola asuh permisif ibu, maka semakin tinggi penyesuaian akademik pada siswa SMA kelas X. ***** This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of permissive parenting of mothers on the academic adjustment of high school students. The sample used in this study amounted to 288 respondents. The research method used is a quantitative method with a sampling technique, namely cluster random sampling. The population is divided based on the administrative area of DKI Jakarta, namely Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Thousand Islands, which are then selected by one school to be a sample. This study used the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) instrument developed by Buri (1991) to measure the permissive parenting of the mother and the Academic Adjustment Scale (AAS) developed by Anderson, Guan, and Koc (2016) to measure academic adjustment. Hypothesis testing was carried out using simple linear regression to test the influence of free variables on bound variables. The results of this study show that the permissive parenting style of the mother has a significant effect on the academic adjustment of high school students in class X by 3%. This shows that the higher the mother's permissive parenting, the higher the academic adjustment in high school students in class X.
