Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang media observasi penerimaan peserta didik baru berbasis digital di SD Bangun Mandiri. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan sekolah untuk memperbarui metode observasi yang sebelumnya masih menggunakan alat manual seperti balok susun, kartu huruf, dan puzzle berbasis metode Montessori. Seiring transisi ke kurikulum nasional, sekolah memerlukan media observasi yang mampu mengukur kemampuan dasar peserta didik, seperti ejaan, huruf, angka, bentuk, dan warna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Borg and Gall. Media dikembangkan menggunakan Construct 3 dan diuji pada 10 calon peserta didik selama dua hari. Validasi dilakukan oleh empat ahli: kepala sekolah, dosen PGSD, BK, dan PAUD. Hasil validasi menunjukkan rata-rata skor 4.5 dari skala 5, dengan predikat “Sangat Baik” untuk seluruh aspek. Uji coba lapangan menunjukkan media dapat membantu guru melakukan observasi secara digital. Media ini juga mendorong transformasi pembelajaran konkret ke bentuk digital tanpa menghilangkan interaktivitas dan mendukung perkembangan kognitif anak. ***** This study aims to develop a digital-based observation media for new student admissions at Bangun Mandiri Elementary School. The research is driven by the school's need to update its previous observation methods, which relied on manual tools such as building blocks, letter cards, and puzzles based on the Montessori method. With the shift to the national curriculum, the school needs observation media to assess basic skills such as spelling, letter and number recognition, shapes, and colors. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Borg and Gall model. The media was developed using Construct 3 and tested on 10 prospective students over two days. Validation involved four experts: the principal, and lecturers from PGSD, Guidance and Counseling, and PAUD. The results showed an average score of 4.5 out of 5 with a “Very Good” rating for all aspects. Field tests showed the media can supports digital observation. It also bridges concrete and digital learning while maintaining interactivity and supporting early cognitive development.
