Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif terhadap lirik lagu karya Bernadya dalam mini album Terlintas dan album Sialnya, Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan berdasarkan teori tindak tutur ekspresf John R. Searle. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tahapan dokumentasi, teknik observasi, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui identifikasi, klasifikasi, analisis, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan telah ditemukan 70 data dalam fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif, yakni tindak tutur ekspresif memuji 1 data, tindak tutur ekspresif menyalahkan 11 data, tindak tutur ekspresif mengucapkan selamat tinggal 7 data, tindak tutur ekspresif mengucapkan rasa syukur 6 data, tindak tutur ekspresif mengkritik 11 data, dan tindak tutur ekspresif mengeluh 34 data. Dalam penelitian ini tidak ditemukan fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif mengucapkan terima kasih dan meminta maaf. Fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif dalam penelitian ini lebih banyak ditemukan ekspresif mengeluh. Lirik-lirik dalam kedua album Bernadya mempunyai ungkapan perasaan sedih hingga kekecewaan. Tindak tutur ekspresif dengan fungsi mengeluh yang paling banyak ditemukan berkaitan dengan pengalaman dalam hubungan percintaan. Kata Kunci: pragmatik, tindak tutur ekspresif, Bernadya, lirik lagu **** This study aims to identify the functions of expressive speech acts found in the lyrics of Bernadya’s songs from the mini album Terlintas and the album Sialnya, Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan, based on John R. Searle’s theory of expressive speech acts. This research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive qualitative methods. Data were collected through documentation, observation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis process involved identification, classification, analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results show that a total of 70 expressive speech act data were identified, consisting of: one data of praising, eleven data of blaming, seven data of saying goodbye, six data of expressing gratitude, eleven data of criticizing, and thirty-four data of complaining. This study did not find any data related to the functions of expressing thanks or apologizing. The most dominant function found was the expressive speech act of complaining. The lyrics in both of Bernadya’s albums predominantly express emotions such as sadness and disappointment. The expressive speech acts of complaining were mostly related to personal experiences in romantic relationships. Keywords: pragmatics, expressive speech acts, Bernadya, song lyrics
