Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan merawat luka ringan menggunakan metode simulasi berbantuan media realia bagi siswa hambatan intelektual kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan MC Taggart. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahap perecanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 4 siswa hambatan intelektual kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui observasi dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam keterampilan merawat luka ringan, dengan peningkatan lebih dari 40% dari persentase nilai kemampuan awal masing-masing siswa sebelum diberi tindakan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan adanya perubahan aktivitas siswa selama pemberian intervensi, siswa menjadi lebih fokus dan aktif berpartisipasi melakukan seluruh tahapan simulasi merawat luka ringan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode simulasi berbantuan media realia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan merawat luka ringan bagi siswa kelas VIII hambatan intelektual di SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta. ***** This study aims to improve the ability of treating minor wounds using the simulation method assisted by realia media-based learning for students with intellectual disabilities of grade VIII at SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta. This research uses the Classroom Action Research method of the Kemmis and MC Taggart models with 4 research subjects. The implementation of the research was carried out in two cycles consisting of the planning stage, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection techniques used are through observation and tests. The data analysis used is qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that students experience an improvement in the abilities of caring for minor wounds. The results of this study indicate that students experienced an improvement in their skills in treating minor wounds, with an increase of more than 40% from their initial ability scores prior to the intervention. Observational data further revealed notable changes in student activity during the implementation of the intervention, as students demonstrated greater focus and actively participated in completing all stages of the minor wound care simulation. Based on the results of the study, concluded that the simulation method assisted by realia media can improve the abilities of treating minor wounds for grade VIII students with intellectual disabilities at SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta.
