Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan profil literasi digital peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta dalam kompetensi literasi sains pada mata pelajaran IPA. Literasi digital dalam penelitian ini merujuk pada empat kompetensi utama menurut Paul Gilster, yaitu Internet Searching, Hypertextual Navigation, Content Evaluation, dan Knowledge Assembly. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi Internet Searching mencapai kategori Tinggi dengan memperoleh skor sebesar 71,78%, Hypertextual Navigation mencapai kategori Tinggi dengan skor sebesar 68,81%, Content Evaluation mencapai kategori Tinggi dengan skor sebesar 68,38%, dan Knowledge Assembly mencapai kategori Tinggi dengan skor sebesar 66,15%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta memiliki kompetensi literasi digital dalam kategori Tinggi dengan persentase rata-rata adalah 68,78%. ***** This study aims to describe the digital literacy profile of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta in science literacy competencies in science subjects. Digital literacy in this study refers to four main competencies according to Paul Gilster, namely Internet Searching, Hypertextual Navigation, Content Evaluation, and Knowledge Assembly. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and the research sample consisted of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta. The results showed that the competence of Internet Searching reached the High category by obtaining a score of 71.78%, Hypertextual Navigation reached the High category with a score of 68.81%, Content Evaluation reached the High category with a score of 68.38%, and Knowledge Assembly reached the High category with a score of 66.15%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta have digital literacy competence in the High category with an average percentage of 68,78%.
