Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan metode Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test (PQRST) berbantuan media AhaSlides terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks laporan hasil observasi pada siswa kelas X SMKN 5 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif true eksperimen design dengan desain pretest post-test control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah sebanyak 64 siswa yang terdiri atas 32 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 32 siswa di kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji syarat analisis statistik SPSS 30.0 dengan uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan Shapiro Wilk, uji homogenitas dengan uji Levene, dan uji hipotesis dengan uji Paired Sample T-Test. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi pretest dan post-test memiliki nilai signifikansi lebih dari 0,05. Hasil uji homogenitas menunjukkan data pada kedua kelas dengan jumlah siswa atau sampel sejumlah 64 siswa memperoleh nilai signifikansi lebih dari 0,05 sehingga data homogen. Lalu, hasil uji-T pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi two-sided p kurang dari 0,05 yaitu <0,001. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan nilai pretest dengan post-test pada pemahaman literal, reorganisasi, inferensial, evaluasi, dan apresiasi dengan metode Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test (PQRST) berbantuan media AhaSlides terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks laporan hasil observasi siswa kelas X SMKN 5 Jakarta. Kata kunci: metode Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test (PQRST), media AhaSlides, keterampilan membaca pemahaman, teks laporan hasil observasi ***** This study aims to find out whether or not there is an effect of the use of the Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test (PQRST) method assisted by AhaSlides media on the reading comprehension skills of observation report texts of grade X students at SMKN 5 Jakarta. This study uses a true experimental design quantitative research method with a pretest post-test control group design. The research sample amounted to 64 students consisting of 32 students in the experimental class and 32 students in the control class. This study used the SPSS 30.0 statistical analysis requirements test with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro Wilk normality test, the homogeneity test with the Levene test, and the hypothesis test with the Paired Sample T-Test. Based on the results of the normality test, the significance value of the pretest and post-test was obtained with a significance value of more than 0.05. The results of the homogeneity test showed data in both classes with the number of students or a sample of 64 students obtained a significance value of more than 0.05 so that the data was homogeneous. Then, the results of the T-test in the experimental class showed a two-sided significance value of p less than 0.05, which was <0.001. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of pretest scores with post-tests on literal comprehension, reorganization, inferential, evaluation, and appreciation with the Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test (PQRST) method assisted by AhaSlides media on the reading comprehension skills of observation report texts of grade X students at SMKN 5 Jakarta.
