Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil peningkatan kualitas gerak peserta didik melalui penerapan model Direct Instruction dalam Tari Dasar Jaipongan Oray Welang pada ekstrakurikuler tari di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bogor. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, dengan analisis kuantitatif statistik dan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang mencakup tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pada siklus I, partisipasi peserta didik meningkat, tetapi masih ditemukan kendala dalam teknik dan penghayatan gerak. Perbaikan dilakukan pada siklus II melalui latihan yang lebih terarah dan evaluasi yang lebih sistematis. Data dikumpulkan pada setiap tahapan siklus melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta penilaian kualitas gerak berdasarkan teori Technique and Expression dari Margaret N’H Doubler. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,80 (kategori baik). Dengan demikian, penerapan model Direct Instruction terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas gerak peserta didik, baik dari proses pembelajaran maupun hasil peningkatan yang ditunjukkan melalui uji N-Gain sebagai bentuk pencapaian efektivitas pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Kualitas Gerak Peserta didik, Tehnique and Expression, Ekstrakurikuler Tari, Tari Dasar Jaipongan Oray Welang, Model Pembelajaran Direct Instruction. ***** This study aims to describe the process and results of improving the quality of students' movements through the application of the Direct Instruction model in the Jaipongan Oray Welang Basic Dance in dance extracurricular at SMA Negeri 2 Bogor City. The research uses the Kemmis and McTaggart model of Class Action Research (PTK), with statistical quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The research was carried out in two cycles which included the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, student participation increased, but obstacles were still found in technique and movement appreciation. Improvements were made in cycle II through more targeted exercises and more systematic evaluations. Data were collected at each stage of the cycle through observation, interviews, documentation, and movement quality assessments based on the theory of Technique and Expression from Margaret N'H Doubler. Based on the data obtained, the results of the study showed an increase with an N-Gain value of 0.80 (good category). Thus, the application of the Direct Instruction model has proven to be effective in improving the quality of students' movements, both from the learning process and the results of improvement shown through the N-Gain test as a form of achieving learning effectiveness.
