Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia bukan sebagai ilmu saja tetapi sebagai keterampilan sehingga harus menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dilakukan. Bahkan di tingkat SD/MI, teruntuk pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia masih sangat mengandalkan penggunaan metode-metode pembelajaran yang aplikatif dan menarik. Menurut pendapat ahli Arsjad, Mukti U.S, Mabruri, dan Aristya bahwa ada beberapa faktor yang harus diperhatikan oleh pembicara untuk keefektifan berbicara, yaitu faktor kebahasaan dan faktor non kebahasaan. Berdasarkan kajian teori dan hipotesis penelitian maka metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen design. Pada penelitian ini, kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakukan pembelajaran dengan metode bermain peran dan kelompok kontrol diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan metode tanya jawab. Berdasarkan perhitungan data penelitian secara statistik diperoleh bahwa skor rata-rata keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan metode role playing (bermain peran) mencapai hasil yang relative tinggi dibandingkan skor rata-rata keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas control yang tidak diberikan perlakuan metode role playing (bermain peran) dan diberikan metode diskusi kelompok kecil. Hasil pengujian hipotesis yang menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi (α) 0,05 diperoleh bahwa thitung lebih kecil daripada ttabel (0,004 > 0,05), hasil tersebut memiliki arti bahwa hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak dan hipotesis kerja (H₁) diterima. Hasil pengujian tersebut berarti juga membuktikan bahwa metode Role Play (bermain peran) memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Pulo Gadung, Jakarta Timur. Even at the elementary/MI level, Indonesian language learning still relies heavily on the use of applicable and interesting learning methods. In the opinion of experts Arsjad, Mukti U.S, Mabruri, and Aristya, there are several factors that speakers must pay attention to for speaking effectiveness, namely linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors. Based on theoretical studies and research hypotheses, the method that will be used in this research is quasi experimental design. In this research, the experimental group was given learning treatment using the role-playing method and the control group was given learning treatment using the question and answer method. Based on statistical research data calculations, it was found that the average score of speaking skills of experimental class students after being treated with the role playing method achieved relatively high results compared to the average score of speaking skills of control class students who were not treated with the role playing method and were given the small group discussion method. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test at a significance level (α) of 0.05 show that tcount is greater than ttable (0.67> 0.05), this result means that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the working hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. The test results also prove that the Role Play method has an influence on the speaking skills of fifth grade elementary school students in Pulo Gadung District, East Jakarta.
