Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model bahan ajar menulis teks deskripsi yang berbasis kearifan lokal Banten dengan menggunakan media Powtoon dan pendekatan Flipped Classroom. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat dan kemampuan menulis siswa, khususnya dalam menulis teks deskripsi yang kontekstual dan bermakna. Melalui integrasi kearifan lokal, media digital interaktif, serta pendekatan pembelajaran terbalik, diharapkan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik, efektif, dan relevan dengan kehidupan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII di MTs Al-Mursyidiyyah Pamulang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes kemampuan menulis. Instrumen penelitian diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya sebelum digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak digunakan berdasarkan penilaian para ahli materi, media, dan praktisi pendidikan. Selain itu, model ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks deskripsi secara signifikan. Integrasi kearifan lokal Banten dalam materi memberikan dampak positif terhadap sikap apresiatif siswa terhadap budaya daerah, sedangkan penggunaan Powtoon dan pendekatan Flipped Classroom meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, model bahan ajar ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi di tingkat SMP/MTs sebagai alternatif inovatif yang kontekstual dan berbasis teknologi. The background of this research is the low interest and ability of students in writing, particularly in composing contextual and meaningful descriptive texts. Through the integration of local wisdom, interactive digital media, and a flipped learning approach, the learning process is expected to become more engaging, effective, and relevant to students' lives. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were seventh-grade students at MTs Al-Mursyidiyyah Pamulang. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and writing skill tests. All research instruments were tested for validity and reliability prior to use. The results of the study indicate that the developed teaching material model is feasible based on assessments from material experts, media experts, and education practitioners. Furthermore, the model has proven effective in significantly improving students' descriptive writing skills. The integration of Banten’s local wisdom in the materials had a positive impact on students’ appreciation of local culture, while the use of Powtoon and the Flipped Classroom approach enhanced students’ engagement and learning independence. Therefore, this teaching material model is recommended for implementation in teaching descriptive writing at the junior high school level as an innovative, contextual, and technology-based alternative.
