Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas strategi pelatih Paduan Suara Persekutuan Kaum Perempuan (PKP) Musyawarah Pelayanan (Mupel) Jawa Barat 1 dalam mempersiapkan Pesta Paduan Suara Gerejawi (Pesparawi) 2025. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh tantangan umum paduan suara gereja, seperti kurangnya pemahaman teknik vokal dasar, keberagaman usia dan latar belakang anggota, serta partisipasi tidak merata akibat kesibukan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses dan strategi di balik keberhasilan PKP Mupel Jabar 1 meraih Juara 1. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi latihan, wawancara dengan pelatih dan anggota, serta dokumentasi seperti rekaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi pelatih mengacu pada teori Dessler, mencakup analisis kebutuhan (audisi dan sarana latihan), perencanaan (timeline dan adaptasi blended learning), pelaksanaan (latihan individu, sectional, gabungan dengan penekanan teknik vokal seperti pernapasan diafragma dan artikulasi), serta evaluasi berkelanjutan melalui rekaman mandiri. Strategi ini efektif mengatasi kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan perbedaan kemampuan melalui kerja sama tim dan teknologi. Kesimpulan menyatakan bahwa strategi terstruktur ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas musikal dan spiritual, tetapi juga memperkuat pemberdayaan kaum perempuan dalam pelayanan gereja. Kata Kunci: strategi pelatih, paduan suara gereja, Pesparawi 2025 ***** This research discusses the coaching strategies of the Women's Fellowship Choir (PKP) from the West Java 1 Service Council (Mupel) in preparing for the 2025 Church Choir Festival (Pesparawi). The research background is rooted in common challenges faced by church choirs, such as a lack of understanding of basic vocal techniques, diversity in members' ages and educational backgrounds, and uneven participation due to personal busyness. The study aims to analyze the processes and strategies behind the success of PKP Mupel West Java 1 in achieving 1st place. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observations of training sessions, interviews with the coach and members, and documentation such as recordings The findings indicate that the coach's strategies are based on Dessler's theory, encompassing needs analysis (auditions and training facilities), planning (timelines and adaptations of blended learning), implementation (individual, sectional, and combined training with emphasis on vocal techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing and articulation), and ongoing evaluation through self-recording. This strategy effectively addresses obstacles like time constraints and varying abilities through team collaboration and technology. The conclusion asserts that this structured strategy not only enhances musical and spiritual quality but also strengthens women's empowerment in church service.
