Abstract

********* This research is driven by the limited accessibility of conventional kebaya for female adolescents with Cerebral Palsy. The construction of a typical kebaya, which is generally tight-fitting and features complex fastening systems (such as small buttons), poses a significant barrier for individuals experiencing muscle stiffness (spasticity) and fine motor limitations. This issue results in low ease of dressing and a decline in self-confidence during social participation. This study aims to develop an adaptive kebaya design by integrating the "easywear" concept, which includes the use of magnetic closures and hidden Velcro to facilitate dressing without compromising aesthetic values. The research method employed is pre-experimental with a quantitative approach using the One-Shot Case Study model. The research objects consist of five modified kebaya designs under the "Neo Heritage" theme with a "Feminine Romantic" style. The assessment instrument utilizes the FEA (Functional, Expressive, Aesthetic) product model theory by Lamb & Kallal (1992) through mixed questionnaires (open and closedended) evaluated by five expert panelists. The results indicate that the adaptive kebaya products are categorized as "excellent" across all indicators. Overall, this design successfully accommodates physical needs through easywear technology while simultaneously fulfilling the users' psychological needs through inclusive visual quality
