Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lembaga Administrasi Negara (LAN) Jakarta pada November 2025 s.d. Januari 2026 untuk menguji pengaruh pengembangan karir dan kompetensi teknis terhadap kinerja pegawai. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah survei kuantitatif, dengan populasi terjangkau 200 pegawai dan penentuan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin; data penelitian diolah dari 133 responden melalui instrumen kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengujian prasyarat (termasuk uji normalitas Kolmogorov–Smirnov) serta pengujian hipotesis menggunakan model regresi/analisis jalur untuk menaksir pengaruh parsial dan simultan kedua variabel bebas terhadap kinerja. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan model regresi simultan Ŷ = 46,860 + 0,628X1 + 0,223X2, yang menegaskan bahwa peningkatan pengembangan karir (X1) dan kompetensi teknis (X2) berasosiasi searah dengan peningkatan kinerja pegawai. Secara parsial, pengembangan karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja (t = 9,926; Sig. = 0,000), sedangkan kompetensi teknis juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan (t = 3,524; Sig. = 0,001). Daya jelas model tergolong kuat, ditunjukkan oleh R = 0,736 dan R Square = 0,542 (Adjusted R Square = 0,535), sehingga 54,2% variasi kinerja dapat dijelaskan oleh kedua variabel secara simultan, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi faktor lain di luar model. ***** This study was conducted at National Institute of Public Administration (LAN) in Jakarta from November 2025 to January 2026 to examine the effect of career development and technical competence on employee performance. A quantitative survey approach was used, with a population of 200 employees and a sample determined using the Slovin formula; research data was collected from 133 respondents using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed through prerequisite testing (including the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test) and hypothesis testing using a regression/path analysis model to estimate the partial and simultaneous effects of the two independent variables on performance. The test results showed a simultaneous regression model of Ŷ = 46,860 + 0,628X1 + 0,223X2, which confirmed that an increase in career development (X1) and technical competence (X2) was associated with an increase in employee performance. Partially, career development has a positive and significant effect on performance (t = 9,926; Sig. = 0,000), while technical competence also has a positive and significant effect (t = 3,524; Sig. = 0,001). The model's explanatory power is strong, as indicated by R = 0,736 and R Square = 0,542 (Adjusted R Square = 0,535), meaning that 54,2% of the variation in performance can be explained by both variables simultaneously, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the model.
