Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membandingkan bilangan pada siswa lamban belajar kelas IV di SDN Jatinegara Kaum 14 Jakarta Timur melalui penerapan metode drill berbantuan media kantong bilangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang meliputi tahapan perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tiga siswa lamban belajar yang dipilih secara purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep bilangan dari pra-siklus hingga siklus II. Rata-rata skor meningkat dari 23,3 pada pra-siklus, menjadi 46,6 pada Siklus I, dan mencapai 78,3 pada Siklus II. Peningkatan terjadi pada seluruh indikator, yaitu menyebut angka, mengurutkan bilangan, membandingkan bilangan, dan penggunaan simbol perbandingan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode drill berbantuan media kantong bilangan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bilangan; mengurutkan dan membandingkan bilangan, pada siswa lamban belajar. ***** This classroom action research aimed to improve students' understanding of comparing numbers among slow learners in Grade IV at SDN Jatinegara Kaum 14, East Jakarta, through the application of the drill method assisted by number pocket media. This study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of the stages of planning, action and observation, and reflection. The research subjects were three slow learners selected purposively. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed an increase in the understanding of number concepts from the pre-cycle to cycle II. The average score improved from 23.3 in the pre-test to 46.6 in cycle I, and reached 78.3 in cycle II. Improvements occurred in all indicators, namely naming numbers, ordering numbers, comparing numbers, and using comparison symbols. These findings indicate that the drill method assisted by number pocket media is effective in improving the understanding of number concepts; particularly ordering and comparing numbers, among slow learners.
