Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Voki terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Jerman pada topik Familie siswa kelas XI SMAN 38 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain pre-test post-test control group. Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN 38 Jakarta, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol adalah 55 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,272 (>0,05). Dengan demikian hipotesis nol diterima dan hipotesis alternatif ditolak. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Voki tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Jerman pada topik Familie. Temuan ini diperkirakan berkaitan dengan selisih nilai post-test yang relatif kecil, serta kondisi kelas dan kendala teknis dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Aplikasi Voki, Kosakata, Familie, Uji Mann-Whitney*****This study aims to determine the effect of using the Voki application on German vocabulary mastery on the topic of Familie among 11th grade students at SMAN 38 Jakarta. The research method used was a quantitative experiment with a pre-test post-test control group design. The research population included all 11th grade students at SMAN 38 Jakarta, with sampling using simple random sampling techniques. The sample size for the experimental and control classes was 55 students. The results showed that the data were not normally distributed, so data analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test. The analysis results showed a p-value of 0.272 (>0.05). Thus, the null hypothesis was accepted and the alternative hypothesis was rejected. From these results, it can be concluded that the use of the Voki application did not have a significant effect on German vocabulary mastery on the topic of Familie. This finding is thought to be related to the relatively small difference in post-test scores, as well as classroom conditions and technical constraints in learning.
