Abstract
Di era persaingan global, kualitas pendidikan dituntut tidak hanya menghasilkan peserta didik yang menguasai pengetahuan, tetapi juga memiliki keterampilan abad ke-21, salah satunya keterampilan berpikir kritis. Namun, keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Biologi sebagai ilmu yang mempelajari kehidupan memiliki potensi besar dalam mengembangkan keterampilan tersebut, khususnya pada materi sistem reproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMA pada materi sistem reproduksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 70 Jakarta pada September 2024 hingga Juli 2025, dengan kelompok eksperimen menggunakan model SSCS dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai sebanyak 12 butir. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata peningkatan nilai pretest ke posttest (gain score) keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi 11,16 dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model pembelajaran SSCS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Dengan demikian, model SSCS dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran untuk menguatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. ***** In the era of global competition, the quality of education is required not only to produce students who master academic knowledge but also to develop 21st-century skills, particularly critical thinking. However, Indonesian students’ critical thinking skills remain relatively low. Biology, as a science that studies life, has strong potential to develop these skills, especially through reproductive system topics. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model on senior high school students’ critical thinking skills in reproductive system learning. This research employed a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 70 Jakarta from September 2024 to July 2025. The experimental group was taught using the SSCS model, while the control group applied the Discovery Learning model. Data were collected using a 12-item essay test and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics at a significance level of 0.05. Descriptive analysis showed that the average gain score in critical thinking skills of the experimental group was higher (11.16) than that of the control group. The results indicated that the SSCS learning model had a significant effect on students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, SSCS can be used as an alternative learning model to strengthen students’ critical thinking skills.
