Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keberanian anak usia 4–5 tahun dalam kegiatan renang di KB-TK Labschool Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi anak usia 4–5 tahun kelas TK A, guru kelas, guru jasmani, dan kepala sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan renang mampu menstimulasi keberanian anak yang mencakup keberanian fisik, emosional, sosial, intelektual, dan moral. Keberanian fisik terlihat dari kemampuan anak memasuki kolam dan melakukan aktivitas di air secara bertahap. Keberanian emosional ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan anak mengelola rasa takut saat berenang. Keberanian sosial tampak dalam interaksi anak dengan guru dan teman sebaya, sedangkan keberanian intelektual terlihat dari kemampuan anak mengikuti instruksi dan mencoba gerakan baru. Keberanian moral tercermin dari kepatuhan anak terhadap aturan dan tanggung jawab selama kegiatan berlangsung. Proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan renang yang terstruktur dan konsisten berperan penting dalam mendukung terbentuknya keberanian anak usia dini. *********************************************** This study aims to describe the courage of children aged 4–5 years in swimming activities at KB-TK Labschool Rawamangun, East Jakarta. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research subjects included children aged 4–5 years in TK A, classroom teachers, a physical education teacher, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that swimming activities stimulate children’s courage in several aspects, including physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and moral courage. Physical courage is reflected in children’s ability to enter the pool and perform water-based activities gradually. Emotional courage is shown through children’s ability to manage fear during swimming activities. Social courage appears in children’s interactions with teachers and peers, while intellectual courage is demonstrated by children’s ability to follow instructions and try new movements. Moral courage is reflected in children’s compliance with rules and responsibility during the activities. Structured and consistent planning, implementation, and evaluation of swimming activities play an important role in supporting the development of courage in early childhood.
