Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi penerapan Metode Maternal Reflektif (MMR) dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi anak dengan hambatan pendengaran tingkat intervensi dini di SLB Pangudi Luhur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru kelas intervensi dini dan anak dengan hambatan pendengaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran membaca permulaan disusun berdasarkan hasil percakapan dari hati ke hati (perdati) yang disesuaikan dengan pengalaman dan kebutuhan anak. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan melalui tahapan percakapan, visualisasi, deposit kosakata, dan refleksi dengan menggunakan media gambar yang relevan. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui observasi proses dan latihan reflektif untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Metode Maternal Reflektif mendukung proses pembelajaran membaca permulaan pada anak dengan hambatan pendengaran tingkat intervensi dini. ***** This study aimed to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Maternal Reflective Method (MRM) in early reading instruction for children with hearing impairment at the early intervention level at SLB Pangudi Luhur. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of early intervention teachers and children with hearing impairment. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the planning of early reading instruction was developed based on heart-to-heart conversations (perdati) adjusted to the children’s experiences and needs. The implementation was carried out through stages of conversation, visualization, vocabulary deposit, and reflection using relevant visual media. The evaluation was conducted through process observation and reflective exercises to identify the development of children’s early reading skills. It can be concluded that the Maternal Reflective Method supports early reading instruction for children with hearing impairment at the early intervention level.
