Abstract
Perubahan dunia kerja yang semakin dinamis, ditandai oleh perkembangan teknologi dan meningkatnya ketidakpastian pasar kerja, menuntut mahasiswa tingkat akhir untuk memiliki kemampuan adaptasi karier yang memadai. Salah satu kemampuan penting dalam menghadapi transisi dari dunia pendidikan ke dunia kerja adalah career adaptability. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh future time perspective dan future work self salience terhadap career adaptability pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan metode survei. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir jenjang S1/D4/D3 di Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan Future Time Perspective Scale - Indonesian Version (FTP-I), Future Work Self Salience Scale, dan Career Adapt-Ability Scale - Indonesian Form (CAAS-IF). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dan sederhana untuk menguji pengaruh simultan maupun parsial variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa future time perspective dan future work self salience secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career adaptability mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pandangan masa depan yang positif serta kejelasan gambaran diri kerja di masa depan berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi karier mahasiswa. ***** Rapid changes in the world of work, driven by technological advancement and increasing labor market uncertainty, require final-year university students to develop strong career adaptation abilities. One essential capacity in navigating the transition from education to employment is career adaptability. This study aims to examine the effects of future time perspective and future work self salience on career adaptability among final-year university students. This study employed a quantitative explanatory approach using a survey method. The participants were final-year undergraduate students (S1/D4/D3 equivalent) in Indonesia. Data were collected using the Future Time Perspective Scale - Indonesian Version (FTP-I), the Future Work Self Salience Scale, and the Career Adapt-Ability Scale - Indonesian Form (CAAS-IF). Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to test both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on career adaptability. The results indicated that future time perspective and future work self salience have significant positive effects on career adaptability, both individually and simultaneously. These findings suggest that a positive orientation toward the future and a clear mental representation of one’s future work self contribute to higher levels of career adaptability among final-year students.
