Abstract

Penelitian penciptaan karya seni ini bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan makna lirik lagu “Beranjak Dewasa” karya Nadin Amizah sebagai ide penciptaan karya seni fotografi. Lirik lagu tersebut merepresentasikan fase transisi individu dari masa kanak-kanak menuju dewasa yang sarat dengan konflik emosional, kecemasan, dan proses pencarian jati diri. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis riset artistik (artistic research), yang menempatkan praktik berkesenian sebagai proses utama penelitian. Proses penciptaan dilakukan melalui observasi, refleksi pengalaman personal, eksplorasi visual, serta pendokumentasian karya. Karya akhir diwujudkan dalam bentuk fotografi fine art dengan teknik polyptych, khususnya triptych, yang menyusun tiga foto sebagai satu kesatuan narasi visual. Setiap karya merepresentasikan kutipan lirik lagu yang menggambarkan perjalanan emosional beranjak dewasa, mulai dari ketergantungan, percepatan waktu, hingga penerimaan terhadap tanggung jawab kehidupan. Hasil penciptaan menunjukkan bahwa fotografi mampu menjadi medium ekspresif untuk menyampaikan makna lirik lagu secara simbolis dan naratif. Karya ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana refleksi bagi audiens serta memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan penciptaan karya fotografi pada ranah pendidikan seni rupa. ***** This artistic creation research aims to visualize the meaning of the song lyrics “Beranjak Dewasa” by Nadin Amizah as an idea for creating photographic works of art. The song lyrics represent the transitional phase from childhood to adulthood, which is marked by emotional conflict, anxiety, and the process of self identity formation. This research employs a qualitative approach using artistic research, which places artistic practice as the core of the research process. The creation process is carried out through observation, reflection on personal experiences, visual exploration, and documentation. The final work is realized in the form of fine art photography using a polyptych technique, specifically triptych, which arranges three photographs as a unified visual narrative. Each work represents selected lyrics that depict the emotional journey of coming of age, ranging from dependence, the rapid passage of time, to the acceptance of life responsibilities. The results of the creation indicate that photography can function as an expressive medium to convey the meaning of song lyrics symbolically and narratively. This work is expected to serve as a medium for reflection for the audience and to contribute to the development of photographic art creation in the field of art education.
