Abstract
ABSTRAK Ibu dengan peran ganda di era modern seperti ini sangatlah banyak sehingga para ibu yang bekerja ini butuh bantuan dalam merawat buah hatinya, sehingga marak diantara para ibu ini memilihlembaga daycaresebagai salahsatusolusidalam prosespengasuhan anak, namun masih banyak daycare –daycare yang masih belum menjalankan fungsi pengasuhan, pendidikan dan perawatan dengan baik dalam upaya memberi stimulasi pada tumbuh kembang anakusia dini. Sehingga lembaga daycare perlu menrancang dan mempersiapkan segalakegiatanyangmendukungpengobtimalantumbuhkembanganak usia dini. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dirancang mengunakan metode Montessori dapat membantu anak mengoptimalkan perkembangannya, untuk itu penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi kurikulum Montessori dalam menstimulasi perkembangan anak usia 1-3 tahun yangdilaksanakan disebuahlembagadaycarediKotaTangerangSelatan.Dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif melalui metode penelitianevaluatifmodel CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product), penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana kurikulum Montessori diterapkan dalam aspek pengasuhan, pendidikan, dan perawatan anak di lingkungan daycare. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum Montessori telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap stimulasi perkembangan anak, terutama dalam aspek kognitif, motorik, sosial-emosional, dan kemandirian. Lingkungan pembelajaran yang disiapkan dengan baik, kebebasan anak dalam memilih aktivitas, serta penggunaan material Montessori yang sesuai, menjadi faktor utama dalam efektivitas metode ini. Namun, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, variasi latar belakang pendidik, dan pemahaman yang berbeda terhadap implementasi metode Montessori. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan kurikulum Montessori di daycare dapat menjadi alternatif yang baik untuk memberikan stimulasi optimal bagi anak usia dini. Rekomendasi utama dari penelitian ini mencakup peningkatan pelatihan bagi tenaga pendidik, optimalisasi fasilitas, serta penguatan kemitraan dengan orang tua untuk mendukung keberhasilan implementasi metode Montessori di daycare. ************************************************************ Mothers with dual roles in this modern era are so many that these working mothers need help in caring for their children, so many of these mothers choose daycare institutions as one of the solutions in the childcare process, butthere are still many daycares that still do not carry out the functions of care, education and care properly in an effort to provide stimulation in early childhood growth and development. So that daycare institutions need to design and prepare all activities that support the optimization of early childhood growth and development. Several studies have shown that learning activities designed using the Montessori method can help children optimize their development, for this reason this study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Montessori curriculum in stimulating the development of children aged 1-3 years carried out at a daycare institution in South Tangerang City. By using the type of qualitative research through the evaluative research method of the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product), this study analyzes how the Montessori curriculum is implemented in the aspects of parenting, education, and child care in a daycare environment. The results showed that the implementation of the Montessori curriculum has had a positive impact on the stimulation of child development, especially in the aspects of cognitive, motor, social-emotional, and independence. A well-prepared learning environment, children's freedom to choose activities, and the use of appropriate Montessori materials are the main factors in the effectiveness of this method. However, the research also identified some challenges, such as limited facilities, variations in educators' backgrounds, and different understandings of the implementation of the Montessori method. The conclusion of this study confirms thatthe implementation of Montessori curriculum in daycare can be a good alternative to provide optimal stimulation for early childhood. The main recommendations of this study include increasing training for educators, optimizing facilities, and strengthening partnerships with parents to support the successful implementation of the Montessori method in daycare.
